Parents learnt the healing effects of stories and create healing stories. We also invited parents to make a story video together. Students enjoy stories very much.
In order to enhance students reading interest in reading and increase opportunities for students to communicate, we organize “Love to Read” programme. Let our students enjoy reading stories jointly filmed by our school staff and parents during Thursday morning, leisure time, library class and at home.
The library group refers to the contents of the "My Home is in China" series of books, purchases books suitable for students, and establishes a designated reading list of Chinese culture books. Our library teachers organize collaborative teaching lessons on Chinese culture, national development and introduction to China. Students can learn about Chinese places and culture through diversified activities.
The library is committed to promoting students' information literacy skills. We enrich relevant elements to suit the school's curriculum. We organize a cross-subject collaboration activity with general studies. We are using the project as the entry point to construct students' knowledge about obtaining information, information sources, etc. in the library class. Different information is displayed in the library, and students are asked to select relevant thematic information as the study topic during project week.
In order to improve students' ability to use reading pens, library teachers are working together to adjust relevant content, to develop school-based reading pen books, teachers deliberately arranged different teaching activities to increase students’ opportunities for independent learning and learning to use auxiliary communication tools.
