School History
The school is a special school funded by the HKSAR Government to provide educational, rehabilitation and residential services for students with “severe and multiple learning disabilities” from junior to senior secondary levels. Founded in 1978, the school was formerly known as the Mental Health Association of Hong Kong – Pak Tin Children’s Centre, and was officially relocated to Cornwall Street, Sham Shui Po in December 2009 and renamed the Mental Health Association of Hong Kong – Cornwall School, which means “virtuous and beautiful, harmonious and inclusive”. |
Class Structure
The school has 14 classes (7 primary classes and 7 secondary classes), which are divided according to the age and learning characteristics of the students. According to the school-based curriculum, the staff (including teachers and therapists) of each class are responsible for arranging appropriate learning programmes and rehabilitation training for students at different stages of development. |
Staff Team
Our staff includes teachers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, social workers, nurses, resident parents, chefs, drivers and support team members to provide comprehensive services to our students. |
