Conductive Education

Introduction

Our School adheres to the idea of "conductive education" teaching strategy and implements School-based conductive education for children with epilepsy. Coordination is accordingly carried out in respect of curriculum arrangements, teaching approaches and resource utilization.

The characteristics of our School's conductive education:

(1) Collaboration of professional teams - planning, implementation and review

  • Individual student’s learning goals are set in the "Student Development Conference" and the goals set are regularly reviewed and adjusted in the "Mid-term Review Conference".
  • The teams are formed by colleagues from various professions (including teachers, therapists, houseparents and assistants) to provide students with whole-person training.

(2) Daily living process penetration

  • Teaching will be carried out during daily living process, such as position transfer, hand wiping as well as holding and releasing skills, to integrate learning contents into daily living for the real life application of knowledge learned.
  • Consistent attitudes and requirements are adopted in the School and in the dormitory for training and daily living processes.
