“Music Heals!” is a program that was initiated by the HKGNA in 2015, offering free music therapy workshops and events in Hong Kong. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we launched a series of online and offline workshops with different topics through “Music Heals!” in 2020 and 2021, such as autism, ADHD, dementia, depression and hospice care to global audience with renowned guest speakers, educators, and music therapists from around the world.
The program aims to raise public awareness of the benefits of music therapy and promote unity and love for music globally. In May – June 2023, “Music Heals!” will provide workshops and private music therapy sessions to the Mental Health Association of Hong Kong Cornwall School and the Springboard students of Korean International School, conducted by certified music therapists Ms. Christina Lee and Ms. Vivian Chan.
Through “Music Heals!”, beneficiaries will have the opportunity to experience the therapeutic benefits of music and improve their emotional, cognitive, and social well-being. The program serves as a platform that connects selected individuals with certified music therapists in a safe and supportive environment, providing a unique and meaningful experience for all involved.
